A medical and dental specialty, oral and maxillofacial surgery requires up to six additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training. As exceptionally trained oral and maxillofacial surgeons, Drs. Gaitros, Kinnebrew, Bufalini and Good manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Each practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with expertise ranging from cosmetic facial surgery to corrective jaw surgery and wisdom tooth removal. Our doctors can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries and TMJ disorders, as well as perform a full range of dental implant procedures.

The surgical staff at Carolinas Oral & Facial Surgery Center also consists of experienced oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants, who are highly trained to assist in administration of IV sedation and surgery. All medical staff are CPR-certified and continuously monitor patients during and after surgery.
